Christmas was good then

Well we had a great Christmas with Diane's folks then we headed up to the mountains and then the fun started. We headed up to Red River NM on Wednesday the day after Christmas. Thursday took the kids sledding then Diane and I went into town and did a 31/2 hour snow mobile tour. We saw some great country snow all over the ground and the tree's. We got home for dinner around 5:30 pm had some dinner then went to bed since I had a really bad headache. Woke up Friday morning. I was going to go skiing with Diane but head hurt way to much. So she and the kids went, the kids took lessons and she skied.

Mean while back at the house I was passing out and throwing up. Long story short when my father-in-law came back to see if I wanted to meet them for lunch, when he got there I guess I was on the couch pretty out of it. I do not remember him coming but I guess he went back to get Diane. When they came back I was on the floor in the bathroom so they called 911. Paramedics came and took me down the mountain to Taos Holy Cross Hospital. I was there for a couple of days but am now back in Albuquerque at the in-laws. Still not 100% but better. It was very scary since I was so out of it.

Time

This is going to be the 1st year in many years, I think about 12 years that I have had no commitments during the Christmas season. I am so looking forward to just being with family and not being exhausted from already working a ton of hours.

The business is growing which is awesome. We are looking at a great 2008. Last Friday we had a great evening with some friends. We rented a little boat out of New Port Harbor and cruised around watching the Christmas Boat Parade. It was a lot of  fun looking at the boats all lit up and all the beautiful homes.

 

I am Back

Well I made it back. It was a fun very short trip. People with the airlines thought I was crazy. Maybe I am but thats me. Heather any idea where I went. Well Julie Hibbards daughter has been there.

Guess where Gumby is?

Well I am some where that took about 10 hours to fly to and then I am sitting in the Red Carpet Club for about 6 hours then I fly home again. I know it crazy but it keeps me Premier for next year, and its fun just to fly somewhere and fly back. It gives you lots of time to think or sleep

Christmas

I love Christmas and what we celebrate but it always seems that each year it is harder to keep the real reason for the season in the forefront. Each year it seems like there is so much more to do then the last year. More presents than last year, more parties, rushing to get ready to travel. This is the first time in 13 years that I am not having to work over Christmas, I am not going to know what to do with myself. 

But I am going to enjoy spending time with my family and not having to worry about anything but having fun.

Why Gumby

Some of you might be wondering why my nickname is Gumby. Well it goes way back to Jr. High. I had some friends and we were all trying to come up with nick names for each other and the one that they picked for me was Gumby as I was and still am very flexible and can do the splits and and touch my toes without bending my knees. So now you know the story.
